My name is Gary Keefer and I am looking for information about my
ancestors. I was told by my father I am a decendent of three Hessian
solders who's last name was Keffer that were given land in Pennsylvania
to defect. The information I have found so far goes back to a Charles
Henry Keffer born 1856 in Union Co PA. He married Rosa Golder of
Sugarloaf Township, Columbia Co in 1876. On the marriage certificate
the name was changed to Keefer. Any information ANYONE has to offer
would be greatly appreciated.
